  • CAFE SUMIKA LIVING

    Located only 3 mins away by foot from Minakami station. Cafe offers unique local cuisine experience. Organic veggies and rice from local farmers, homemade miso, toufu, etc. There's a shop "nahele" selling cute handmade stuff next to the cafe.

    RECOMMEND: Japanese style lunch plate 1,100yen (called Kouso-genmai-plate)

  • SOBA "KUBOTA"

    Located right in front of JR Minakami station. Kubota offers traditional countryside style soba.

  • DARUMA(RESTAURANT/IZAKAYA)

    Daruma is loved its local/unique atmosphere for tourists, Although the entrance is not clear for the first time, daruma's lunch "kaisen-don(sashimi on rice ¥1,000) worth trying. Be careful of daruma's wasabi when you eat, since it's authentic one. And the portion is big.

    One of the most popular restaurants in Minakami, 10mins walk from JR Minakami station. People says The pure water from Mt. tanigawa makes their pizza stand out.
